School Clubs - Spring term 2019

We are pleased that we can continue to offer the children a variety of school clubs this term.   All clubs are free of charge unless otherwise stated.  If your child signs up for a club, please could they make every effort to attend regularly.   Clubs will run as follows:

Mondays

3.20-4.20pm – Rugby Club run by Woody of Pulborough Rugby Club.  This club is open to all children in Reception to Year 6.  This club might be cancelled if the weather is particularly poor.  This club will start on Monday 14th January.  This club is run by a volunteer and there is no cost.

3.20-4.20pm – Gymnastics Club run by 1-1 FFPC.  This club is open to all children in Years 1-6.  This club will start on Monday 14th January.  This club is subsidised by the School Sports Premium and there will be no cost.

 

Tuesdays

3.20-4.20pm - Football Club run by 1-1 FFPC.  This club is open to all children in Years 3 to 6.  This club will start on Tuesday 15th January.  This club is subsidised by the School Sports Premium and there will be no cost.

 

Wednesdays

Lunchtime – Dance Club will be run by Miss Barnes.  This club is open to children in Years 3 to 6 and will start on Wednesday 16th January.

 

3.20-4.20pm – Netball Club run by 1-1 FFPC.  This club is open to all children in Years 3 to 6.  This club will start on Wednesday 16th January.  This club is subsidised by the School Sports Premium and there will be no cost.

 

Thursdays

3.20 - 4.20pm – Sports Coaching Club run by 1-1 FFPC.  This club is open to all children in Reception & Years 1-2.  This club will start on Thursday 17th January.  This club is subsidised by the School Sports Premium and there will be no cost.

 

Fridays

Lunchtime – Free Writing Club will be run by Mrs Hall.  This is an opportunity for free and independent writing.  If they wish, the children’s work may be entered in writing and poetry competitions.  This club is open to children in Years 2-6.

 

3.20 – 4.15pm - Gardening Club will be run by a parent volunteer (Mrs Geoghegan - Millie and Ben’s mum) and will start on Friday 18th January.   The children are working towards an RHS School Gardening Award with the opportunity to take part in competitions at Hampton Court, Wisley.  They will also be attempting to grow a giant pumpkin.  This club is open to children in Reception and Years 1-6 and children who enroll in this club are expected to attend every week where possible.  Gardening Club would be very grateful for any donations of flower and vegetable bulbs, plants, seeds, children’s gardening gloves and children’s gardening tools.

 

Occasional Lunchtimes

Choir Club – During January the choir will be rehearsing the songs for Young Voices.  Mr Gilbert will arrange rehearsals during occasional lunchtimes on an ad-hoc basis.

 

If you are able to run an after school club making use of a particular skillset, do not hesitate to contact the school to discuss it and find a suitable day and time.

Also, remember there are currently outside providers offering guitar lessons, singing lessons and cello lessons during school hours.  Charges may apply.  Please contact the school office for further details.
